In this role, you will plan, execute and integrate a range of communications activities including content development, publishing, measurement and other operations in coordination with other teams and stakeholders both internal and external. You also plan and execute Public and Government Affairs activities to advocate for Mondelēz International’s interests and coordinate a range of related transactions or communications with the public and government officials.

We are seeking a motivated and creative Public Relations Specialist with 1-3 years of experience in external communications. Agency experience preferred. The ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling, adept at media relations, and skilled in developing and executing strategic PR campaigns that enhance our brand’s visibility and credibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, including journalists, editors, and influencers. Proactively / reactively develop stories and secure media coverage in relevant outlets.

  • Content Creation: Develop compelling press releases, media kits, blog posts, and other PR-related content that aligns with our corporate and brand messaging and communication goals.

  • Campaign Management: Support in planning, execution, and evaluation of public relations campaigns that support product launches, corporate initiatives, and other external communications efforts.

  • Crisis Communication: Assist in managing communication during crises, ensuring timely and accurate information is distributed to stakeholders.

  • Social Media Coordination: Collaborate with the social media team to amplify PR efforts across platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement with audiences.

  • Event Support: Assist in organizing and promoting events, such as press conferences, product launches, and industry events, to increase brand exposure.

  • Reporting & Analysis: Monitor media coverage and PR campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to inform future strategies.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other internal teams to align PR activities with overall business objectives and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in public relations or external communications, preferably within an agency environment.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content.

  • Proven ability to manage media.

  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of social media platforms and their role in PR.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a public relations agency or consulting company.

  • Experience with crisis communication.

  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods or Food industry.
