Robert Half Accounts Receivable Representative in East Hartford, Connecticut

Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in East Hartford, Connecticut. The role entails the management of account follow-ups, understanding billing, payment, and denials, and maintaining accurate customer credit records. In addition, you will be expected to process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. This role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of our finance department.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records

• Follow-up on denied and/or underpaid claims and patient balances to facilitate payment and resolution

• Identify and communicate payer and/or system trends to management

• Ensure compliance with payer contracts, regulations, and guidelines, as well as state and federal laws relating to billing and collection procedures

• Analyze and investigate account discrepancies for resolution

• Directly contact responsible parties for agency services to facilitate reimbursement when needed

• Manage the submission of all required documents in an organized and timely manner

• Understand and adhere to all compliance functions related to accounts receivable

• Utilize your skills in procedures, billing, collection processes, claim administration, and regulation to effectively perform your job duties.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures is essential

• Demonstrable experience in billing and collection processes is required

• Familiarity with claim administration and regulation is necessary

• Understanding of compliance functions and federal law is vital

• Proven experience in submission, reimbursements, and handling denials is important

• Knowledge of payer and patient balance management is needed

• Local candidates are preferred

• Experience in QA management is advantageous

• Ability to adhere to regulations and standards is required.
