Position Summary

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Michigan State University (MSU) invites applications for a fixed-term position as an instructor in physics. The central responsibility of this position will be to teach upper-division lab courses, including electronics and optics. A PhD in physics or related field at the time of the start of the position is required, and previous experience teaching upper-division lab courses is highly desirable. The appointment will be for the 2024-2025 academic year, with an expected academic year salary in the range $52,000 to $54,000, depending on experience. The appointment is potentially renewable for additional years based on department needs and satisfactory performance.
