Position Summary

The candidate will perform radiation transport calculations in support of shielding design. The candidate will also participate in FRIB research, development of radiation transport tools, present and publish research results.

Required Degree

Doctorate -Physics or closely related field

Minimum Requirements

  • PhD in Physics or closely related field

  • 3 years of experience as a Research Engineer or any related nuclear physics engineering Research and Development position.

  • Must have 3 years' experience in radiation detector characterization, modeling, and simulation of radiation from beam matter interaction or radioactive sources, modeling, and simulation methods for nuclear engineering or nuclear spectroscopy applications.
