The East Rochester School District is recruiting a full-time tenure track educator who is a lifelong learner and demonstrates a commitment to an inclusive student-centered approach to learning.
Secondary Special Education Consultant Teacher
Plan and provide instruction for students with learning, behavioral, emotional, and/or developmental disabilities in accordance with NYS mandates and standards.
Develop, implement, and evaluate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.
Develop, implement, and evaluate lesson plans utilizing best practices and aligned with NYS Learning Standards.
Develop, implement, and evaluate behavior management plans.
Work on a multidisciplinary team to foster collaborative planning and an interdisciplinary approach to learning.
Effectively communicate with school staff, families, districts, and community agencies.
Lead, manage, and support the classroom team in order to create a positive classroom culture.
Participate in ongoing training.

Job Qualifications
NYS Students with Disabilities Certification Grades 7-12, NYS Literacy Certification- Preferred
Knowledge and experience in implementing NYS standards, Core Curriculum, and NYS Alternative Assessment.
