JOB REQUIREMENTS: Respite In Your Home and/or in the Community for 10-year-old Boy \Eau Claire WI\ This little boy enjoys puzzles, Ipad, art and LOVES dinosaurs. He is a 10 year old boy with high functioning autism. His mother would ,like him to have positive and engaging interactions out in the public (library, park, etc). Schedule - Weekday Respite Position \ 1200-530 pm Monday-Thursday \ 200-530 pm Friday Wage: \$12.60 per hour Tasks: \ Get snack \ Reminders (bathroom, stay hydrated, self-care) \ Games, engage in topics of interest (dinosaurs, Minecraft, puzzles, Ipad, Legos) \ Redirect & Deescalate if overstimulated \ Assist in preventing overstimulation (loud noises, big crowds) Please note: \ Must pass a background check \ Must have reliable transportation, a relatively clean driving record, and car insurance \ Experience with ABA therapy or kids preferred, but not required **If hired, Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN) will not be your legal employer. If hired by the person you\'re caring for (member), or their Managing Party, the legal employer on record is that person. CDCN\'s role is to assist the Member or Managing Party in recruiting a Care Worker. The Member or Managing Party has the sole authority to hire or dismiss any potential Direct Care Worker. Observe and monitor children\'s play activities. Communicate with children\'s parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues. Support children\'s emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts. Perform general personnel functions, such as supervision, training, and scheduling. Discipline children and recommend or initiate other measures to control behavior, such as caring for own clothing and picking up toys and books. Assist in preparing food and serving meals and refreshments to children. Read to children and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
