University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our Electrophysiology practice in the South Region. University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our South Region cardiology practice, with emphasis in electrophysiology. The position will provide patients with expert patient care and coordination of services. They will assist the practice to improve patient satisfaction and enhance the quality of care provided to patients through increased access and coordinated services. In This Role, You Will: Join a multidisciplinary team of Cardiologists (3 Electrophysiologists) and 19 Advanced Practice Providers (3 EP dedicated) The PA or NP provides and coordinates care for adults with cardiac diseases throughout the course of evaluation and treatment. Provides and manages care to adult patients for a wide range of services in both general cardiology and EP Provides and coordinates continuity of care of pre and post procedure clinic follow up. This includes follow-up, providing information to referring physicians and institutions, and patient/family education. Performs inpatient consults, pre and post procedure care, and clinic follow up visits. This individual must show commitment to exemplary patient care. Manages patient acre through appropriate use of available resources . Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served. Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) Schedule: 1.0 FTE M-F, daytime hours, no call, no weekends Position is a hybrid of inpatient and clinic coverage Anticipated travel to outreach clinic in Princeton, MN We're Looking For a PA or NP Who Is: A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program. Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP. Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's). Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
