About The Adjutant General's Office :

Role Overview:

You will serve as assistant to the Chief of Scheduling Branch within the office of the Director of Plans, Training, and Security at Camp Atterbury. You will s chedule facility requests, g enerate daily range requests, unit usage reports, weekly facility usage reports, facility request change report. You will montior building usage for weekend training and process installation facility requests for all training and assist the chief in coordination of training activities and facilities utilization. You will i nteract with using organizations as needed to ensure a successful training event. You must annually complete and pass the IDOC Distance Learning and crew Supervisor Course to draw and/or supervise an IDOC crew as needed. You will have contact with military staff and numerous military orginations and commands, various civilian law enforcement organizations, and homeland defense and security personnel.

Salary Statement:

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $42,900.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Research and compile information on specific aspects of the program such as procedures, needs and policies.

  • Answer customer questions about program policies and procedures.

  • Establish, organize, and maintain current and historical files related to the program.

  • Assist in the preparation of program reports, develop applications, prepare budget allocations and/or purchasing of consultative services.

  • Maintain, monitor, and order program assets.

  • Assist supervisor in the development and planning of overall program and its role in the functioning of the agency.

  • Schedule, prepare, and disseminate all program related training materials.

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

  • Specialized knowledge of program area including pertinent rules and regulations.

  • Specialized knowledge of applicable legislation, guidelines, agency policy and professional standards and practices.

  • Ability to research, analyze, and compile specific topics related to program area.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a group decision-making process.

  • Tact in dealing with other agency personnel and the public.

  • Specialized knowledge of accounting and budgeting.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
