MTF Associate Processing Trainer, 3rd Shift in Edison, New Jersey

Overview/Risks

The Associate Processing Trainer assist the Processing Trainer in conducting one-on-one and group training with technicians and new employees. This includes hands on training in the cleanroom and controlled environments, re­training, performing competency evaluations, new hire training, training on process improvements and training on new processes within office, laboratory, and clean room operational settings. The Associate Processing Trainer will ensure processing personnel receive the information necessary to perform their jobs as well as have the ability to demonstrate competency. The Associate Processing Trainer will work closely with the Training Supervisor/Manager and Process Operations Business Unit management in regard to all aspects of training. The Associate Processing Trainer will ensure that the overall technical training program adheres to all regulatory and HR requirements, internal policies and industry practices. The trainer may work with more than one business unit. In addition, the Trainer may be expected to work off hours (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift) and on the weekend.

Sunday Night to Friday Morning 2300-0700

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Processing Trainer in developing and documenting hands on training and re-training as required to maintain the Process Operations Training Program.

  • Assist with new hire training and orientation.

  • Perform competency evaluations of processing personnel for the assigned business unit(s) to assess competency and proficiency.

  • Ensure consistent practices across shifts in the assigned business unit(s) through competency observations. Completes cross training of technicians based on business needs.

  • Assist with training external departments as necessary. This may include gowning and gloving qualification.

  • Work with the business units(s) regarding monitoring NCR's, errors, complaints, internal observations, etc. in Processing and perform training and re-training as required.

  • Work closely with HR to ensure training is aligned with the Personnel Training and Competency Standard and on the management of training documentation. Participate in the planning and execution of appropriate training activities with Human Resources to enhance training programs and shutdown schedules.

  • Work closely with other departments (including but not limited to Engineering, R&D, Processing, Marketing, and Sales) regarding process improvements and new process development to ensure appropriate and necessary training is performed and documented to ensure competency.

  • Provides back-up support to other Trainer's in their absence.

  • Assists with special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High Schhol Diploma/ GED Diploma

  • 1 year experience in one of the following: Tissue banking, surgical technician, nursing, or related medical technology background, medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing, ISO class 8 or less cleanroom/controlled environment. Training.

  • Good communication and good public speaking skills.

  • Show initiative with excellent attention to detail.
