Insight Global Control Panel Design Engineer in El Cajon, California

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Control Panel Design Engineer to support several Pharmaceutical clients in San Diego, CA.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Design control panels, considering layout, power distribution, and component placement.

  • Select appropriate enclosures based on environmental conditions and safety requirements.

  • Choose suitable breakers and fuses to protect circuits.

  • Specify I/O devices and sensors for process control.

  • Create loop drawings and wiring diagrams.

  • Configure VFDs for motor control applications.

  • Ensure compliance with UL 508A standards.

  • Maintain and update relational databases related to control panel designs.

Skills and Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with control panel design and layout

  • Experience with pharmaceutical, food & beverage, or wastewater control systems

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD

  • Experience designing control panels per UL 508A requirements. null
