Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Launches new products and processes

  • Provides direct engineering support to operations covering all aspects of assigned processes or areas of responsibility

  • Applies Lean Manufacturing concepts to continually improve the efficiency of manufacturing processes

  • Designs and implements testing methodology

  • Prepare and maintain documentation

  • Works with vendors and manufacturers to design and develop products and implement a cost-effective design

  • Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and controlling

  • Analyzes designs and implements improvements to facilitate manufacture at the lowest cost consistent with the results desired

  • Designs electrical or mechanical equipment, components, systems, instruments, and products

  • Defines and directs projects to identify and implement continuous yield and process improvements leading to cost-effective, high-quality, high yield world-class manufacturing capabilities

  • Relies on data collection and analysis, experience, and judgment to plan and initiate change, and accomplish goals

  • Coordinates manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements

  • Estimates cost of labor, materials, equipment, construction, etc.

  • Conducts performance appraisals, training and development, etc.

  • Enforces standards, policies, and procedures

  • Supervises, trains, and mentors

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, Master’s degree preferred

  • Five to seven years of experience in engineering or a related field

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

  • Excel in matrix organization and possess strong team building, leadership, interpersonal skills and abilities to motivate and communicate with all levels of personnel

  • Ability to facilitate, support, and implement change within the organization

  • Effective project management, time management, and delegation

  • Ability to prioritize and allocate resources to align with department/company goals

  • Advanced knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)

  • Able to write reports/correspondence and present information and respond to questions from executives/customers and the general public

Sheduled Weekly Hours:

Monday - Friday, Day Shift

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
