Position Description:

The SSSE Operations & Administration analyst assists in analyzing and processing personnel, finance, business management, and facilities documents. The analyst plays an integral role in aligning the department's budget and human resources with the institution's long-range goals and objectives providing primary administrative support to the AVP and Director of Student Engagement & SSSE Operations.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • Under the direction of the AVP and Director, SSSE Ops. oversees all aspects of the Division’s administrative support programs. Providing comprehensive, high-level direction, development, management, and execution of a complex budget. Will include, but not limited to, management of expenditures and revenues, cash receipts, reconciliations, year-end closing, and adherence to budget preparation deadlines for institutional, university, school or grant authorities.

  • Serve as primary advisor to division leadership on the division's financial health, developing recommendations based on evaluation of market and internal data across all funding sources.

  • Coordinate, monitor, and streamline the annual Division budget process, including external funding sources, as applicable. Ensure accuracy in budget preparation and compliance with prescribed Federal, State, and institutional policies and procedures, as applicable.

  • Coordinate, compile, and submit deliverables, ad-hoc, and scheduled reports under the departmental scope of work within set timelines.

  • Manage the allocation of the Division’s multi-faceted resources and be ultimately responsible for the successful organization and administration of the Division’s complex fiscal and human resource activities.

  • Develops, implements and administers departmental office systems and procedures. Establishes office procedures, policies and operations. Interprets and communicates policies and processes.

  • Attend monthly and ad-hoc meetings with the Chief Financial Officer and other administrators (institutional or university) regarding operations, fiscal and budgetary management.

  • Serves as principal contact, administrator, and source of information for department customers, including faculty, students, staff, and external customers on behalf of the SSSE leadership team.

  • Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.

  • Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in educational administration, business discipline, or related field;

  • Combined education and experience totaling seven years of progressively responsible experience managing a complex accounting and/or finance-driven business operation or higher education administrative support.

  • Demonstrated direct budgeting and forecasting supervision.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with educational software and Banner.

  • CPA or preparing for CPA preferred.
