Hiring for Machine Operators on 2nd Shift! Start ASAP

Job Description

We are currently hiring for Machine Operators for second shift (4:30pm - 1:00am). Pay rate is $16.25 for the second shift. A union contract offers a $1 pay increase year after year. Responsibilities include starting and adjusting machinery, operating equipment according to instructions, troubleshooting minor issues, performing quality control, following reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and complying with all safety and health regulations. Maintaining cleanliness in the work area is also required.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Elgin, Illinois.

Work Environment

Our precision product business is in growth mode, with a lively and bustling production floor. The environment is loud due to multiple machines running simultaneously. We have 112 hourly employees onsite across two shifts each day. The workplace has a slight 'oil' smell as we work with lubricated automotive parts, so comfort with working with oils/lubricants is essential. We provide hearing protection (ear plugs) and safety glasses. Steel toe shoes that are NON-SLIP are required for safety. Shift hours vary, and only conversational English is required as our Leads/Supervisors are bilingual in Spanish.
