Come Join Our Team

Work with our US Coast Guard Client on Network engineering tasks. The Aviation Logistics Center is the hub for the Coast Guard aviation support, which includes the missions of aviation depot level maintenance, structural engineering, spare parts warehousing, and information service needs. This site provides Aviation Logistics that enable Coast Guard mission execution, including: Depot Level Maintenance, Engineering, Supply, Procurement, and Information Services.

What is the position?

Under supervision performs a variety of network engineering tasks which are broad in nature and are concerned with the design and implementation of integrated networks, including personal, hardware, software, and support facilities and/or equipment. Installs; configures and maintains software in a client/server networked environment.

What will I get to do?

  • Install local area networks (LANs) as well as wide area networks (WANs.) Selects, orders, and installs equipment at Customer field sites. This activity includes the installation of infrastructure and equipment, operating systems, and user software, as well as maintenance and exercise support.

  • Install infrastructures including routers, hubs, and interconnections.

  • Assists in providing technical documentation to support installation activities.

  • Assists with Customer on-site surveys.

  • Participates in the preparation of drawings and reports documenting and recording on-site activities. Interfaces with customers, end users and team members for site activities as directed.

  • Performs systems checkout/test and introductory training as required.

  • Perform trips to customer sites for installations, surveys, and audits.

What qualifications do I need?

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance required.

  • Required Certification: IAT-II Level/. One of the following CompTIA certifications: SEC+ , CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, CND or SSCP. MUST be current.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field OR at minimum A.A/A.S. in related IT field

  • Ability to work onsite daily at the US Coast Guard site in Elizabeth City, NC.

  • Two (2) years’ experience as a Network Engineer and has performed similar duties listed within the functional responsibilities section above.

  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Must possess strong oral communication and written comprehension capabilities.

Compensation

$60,422.60 - $90,633.90

The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may be taken into consideration - contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. The estimate displayed represents the salary range for this position and is just one component of Cognosante’s total compensation package for employees.
