Manage general accounting functions and own both A/R and A/P functions. Manage Staff Accountant to ensure compliance according to applicable government regulations.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Perform recruiting: place ads, schedule/conduct interviews, record applicants by maintaining job files and the ATS, work with recruiters as needed, and ensure preemployment screenings are successfully completed for selected candidates.
• Lead and participate in the month-end close process, ensuring that journal entries, closing activities, analysis and reports are accurate and timely
• Develop new analysis and reports as needed to help explain financial results
• Develop reports and analysis on production activity, variances and efficiencies
• Perform and review account reconciliations to ensure that all balance sheet presentations are accurate
• Manage fixed assets
• Be a key participant in the annual budgeting and long-term planning process
• Support the rolling forecasting process
• Manage procure to pay process
• Develop and maintain processes and requirements that support A/R and A/P controls and maximize collections
• Review processes, recommend improvements to streamline where possible and create new processes where needed
• Assist in external audits
• Provide assistance on special projects as requested
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience in ERP systems

Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and month-end close

Ability to develop relationships with individuals at all levels, including customers, vendors and other employees

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally

Problem solving and innovation skills, including the ability to analyze, interpret, understand and successfully resolve issues
