This is an on-site position at our Headquarters building in Enola, PA with the potential to work in a hybrid capacity after 6 months of employment. The purpose of the Adjustment Counselor I is to collect assigned delinquent loans to minimize losses to the credit union and to assist members in meeting their financial obligations. This position is an entry level position and is responsible for the cost management related to the assigned delinquent accounts and the collection of delinquent loans and credit card balances. Some of creativity, data analysis and problem-solving skills are required in order to effectively solve collection issues.

With minimal budgetary responsibilities, the Adjustment Counselor I will perform a variety of basic loan and credit card collection services, demonstrates teamwork and assists the department with other assignments as requested. This position has moderate supervision of work and determines collectability of assigned accounts, follows-up with members regarding payment arrangements, makes recommendations to management regarding repossessions, sale of collateral and charge-offs, maintains delinquent loan files, works cooperatively with team members to accomplish work, and performs account adjustments, re-writes and extensions when needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing * Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading * Ability to sit for extended time periods * Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment * Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel * Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects #IND100 Qualifications
