Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Evansville, Indiana

Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire

Description:

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for keeping the facility operating by troubleshooting issues and performing preventative maintenance. This company's goal is to create an environment that fosters learning and development to provide you with the necessary tools/skills to make a meaningful contribution to the facility while always prioritizing safety. A plastics company located here in Evansville, IN.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

  • 3rd Shift, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

  • 2-2-3 Schedule

  • Week 1 : 36 hrs. total (3 x 12 hr. shifts)

  • Week 2 : 48 hrs. total (4 x 12 hr. shifts)

  • Every other weekend is 3-day weekend

STARTING PAY:

  • $27/hr. - $32/hr.+ -> up to $35/hr. with advanced electrical experience

Major Duties:

  • Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems on machines and around the facility

  • Work with operations associates to identify and prioritize maintenance needs

  • Maintain operations equipment to achieve optimal performance levels and meet customer demands

  • Perform predictive precision maintenance to identify and correct mechanical/electrical defects before machines fail

Primary Electrical Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting and wiring 3 phase and single phase motors up to 480 volts,

  • Bending and running conduit and pulling wire throughout the facility.

  • Running wire to and changing speeds on variable frequency drives (VFD's)

Primary Mechanical Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Stick welding and fabrication/repair on various machines, parts and components (no previous certification required).

  • Maintaining water cooling towers and booster pumps (not hydraulic pumps).

  • Changing out and oiling drive shafts, gears, bearings etc.

  • Changing out hydraulic hoses, pneumatic air cylinders and valves.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Nice to Have:

  • 1+ Years PLC troubleshooting (ladder logic)

  • 1+ year(s) electrical troubleshooting experience

  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems

  • Associates degree or higher in an electrical/mechanical or electro-mechanical field

  • 2+ years in industrial maintenance

  • 2+ years using a multimeter

  • General computer skills (typing, Microsoft 365, etc.)

  • 1+ Years PLC troubleshooting (ladder logic)
