Wire and Electrical Equipment Engineer

Job Description

As a Wire and Electrical Equipment Engineer, you will serve as an engineering representative and integral team member within an Integrated Project Team. Your primary role will involve integrating electrical components and designing wire harnesses, including the supporting structures. You will ensure that the designs meet vendor and OEM requirements, adhere to FAA regulations, and satisfy internal standards. Responsibilities include designing wire harnesses for commercial aircraft, integrating electrical components, directing outsourced project resources in electrical integration, and preparing, modifying, and releasing CAD drawings. You will also design brackets and fixations for electrical components and wiring, evaluate materials for new designs, and participate in design reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from a four-year accredited college/university required

  • 3-5 years of experience with the design of wire harnesses and installation of the wire harness

  • Must be eligible to work in and ITAR environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the design of electrical systems or systems packaging for commercial aircraft interior products is a plus.

  • Familiarity with FAA requirements and/or knowledge or experience with applicable aircraft specs related to wiring routing.

  • Experience with mechanical routing of electrical harnesses, hydraulic lines or other mechanical routing.
