The Exeter Job Corps Academy is looking for a Residential Advisor - Day Shift to work in the student dorm and provide students ages 16-24 with a safe, clean, and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement, and success in the Job Corps program.

WHAT IS EXETER JOB CORPS ACADEMY?We support the Job Corps program’s mission to teach eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent and place them in meaningful jobs or further education. Our center specializes in Culinary Arts, Welding, Electronics Engineering, and Patient Care.
EMPLOYMENT AT EXETER JOB CORPSEmployment at Exeter Job Corps is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, employment verification, education verification, professional reference check and motor vehicle record check.
Here is the schedule for this role:
Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm
Ensures the physical security of the dorm area during class hours and reports concerns to dorm management
Conducts inspections of each dorm room and initiates work orders to make necessary repairs daily
Documents and tracks inspection performance; reports concerns and trends to Social Development Management staff
Maintains adequate levels of inventory per established department reorder points and proactively orders supplies to meet department requirements
Coordinate the packing, mailing and tracking of all separated students’ belongings
Transports students to and from public transportation sites
Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by Job Corps
Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population
Takes swift and appropriate action and positively influences student behavior
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required, advanced degrees preferred
Job Corps or related program experience strongly preferred
Valid, active driver’s license and ability to meet Company insurability requirements required
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
