As the Principal Contractor for the Naval Communications Station Harold E Holt (NCSHEH) located in Exmouth, Western Australia, Raytheon Australia provides services for the maintenance and operation of critical defence infrastructure including the Space Surveillance Telescope, Very Low Frequency (VLF) Communications Transmitter and C-Band Radar Tracking Radar.

To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated Facility Support Officer (Security) who is ready to join a diverse, talented and enthusiastic team of professionals in Exmouth, Western Australia.

Reporting to the PMO Manager you will hold overall responsibility for security relating to the company programs, including managing plans, policies, and procedures and providing security advice to management and employees.

In this role, you will develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including security representatives, varied workgroups, customer representatives and sub-contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with the local Defence Security Authority, Australian Government Security Vetting Authority, and Commonwealth of Australia Security Officers.

• Ensure all personnel understand and adhere to the company security requirements and those outlined by Defence, for both personal and program activities.

• Maintain all security documents and registers as per document security management guidelines.

• Ensure building physical security standards are met and maintained and assist with investigations into security breaches..

• Manage and provide guidance and training for all security clearances.

• Manage overseas travel security briefings and debriefs.

• Manage and coordinate site access for employees and subcontractors.

• Liaise with all defence stakeholders to ensure security is managed and maintained to site specific policies.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Essentials:

• Minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.

• A broad knowledge of operational systems and practices, gained through extensive experience and/or education.

• Requires understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritising, coaching and process execution.

• Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.

Desirable:

• A university Degree in Security Risk Management, or equivalent experience.

• Experience in facilities management.

• Experience working with Defence and Government agencies
