Position Title: District Manager - Healthcare

Salary: $110,000 - $120,000/ yr.

Other Forms of Compensation: Bonus Incentive Plan

Job Summary

As a District Manager (DM), you will lead and develop a cross-functional team while managing multiple healthcare accounts across your assigned territory.

Your role will focus on achieving operational and financial goals, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. You will be instrumental in supporting the communities we serve by overseeing the daily operations and fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of Resident District Managers and Directors of Dining Services to consistently deliver outstanding service.

  • Develop positive relationships with clients, ensuring achievement of critical metrics such as profitability, safety, and employee engagement.

  • Participate in regional leadership teams, collaborating with peers to share best practices, mitigate risks, promote diversity, and contribute to community-building efforts.

  • Oversee operations in the designated territory, making informed decisions with consideration for short- and long-term impacts.

  • Support senior leadership in shaping the cultural tone of the district and region, ensuring visibility, accountability, and safety across teams.

  • Serve as the territory’s ambassador by attending client and community engagement events.

  • Work with Sales, Retention, and Finance teams to develop proposals and support the sales and retention processes.

  • Partner with internal teams to address district needs and solve complex issues, considering all angles and downstream impacts.

  • Ensure compliance with regional, state, and local policies governing meal programs, safety, and quality assurance. Conduct audits and recommend solutions for improvements.

  • Champion team growth through development programs, performance evaluations, and succession planning to cultivate multi-unit management skills.

  • Own P&L responsibilities for districts, collaborating with leadership to ensure accuracy in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.

  • Complete and submit required reports in accordance with company policies and timelines.

  • Ensure the consistent and fair administration of all organizational policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in multi-unit food service.

  • Experience in a healthcare setting is highly desired.

  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and large-scale operations.

  • Culinary experience is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of financials, budgeting, and contract management in a service-driven environment.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

  • Ability to analyze complex situations and make strategic, data-driven decisions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a District Manager or similar role.

  • Prior experience supporting healthcare facilities desired.

  • Background in healthcare-related food services, hospitality, or support services.

  • Track record of growing business operations and driving financial success.

  • Ability to think quickly and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent client relationship management, with strong influencing and presentation skills.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
