First Realty Management Maintenance Mechanic in Fall River, Massachusetts

First Realty Management Corp, a leading area property management firm, is seeking an experienced, full-time Maintenance Mechanic/Technician to serve one or a group of apartments in the Fall River, MA area. We are searching for an individual who can work independently when needed and is skilled in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, boilers, and general maintenance.

Requirements

  • This individual must have the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Good communication skills are necessary.

  • Individuals should be service-minded and take pride in their work.

  • Regularly scheduled hours: 40 hours per week, Tuesday-Saturday.

  • Shares in on-call rotation.

  • Having your hand tools is very helpful.

  • Prior experience in apartment maintenance is also helpful.

  • Reliable transportation, willingness to travel when needed, and a valid driver's license are required.

Job Functions:

  • Prepares vacant units by repairing, refurbishing, and cleaning (as needed) in accordance with site checklists, turnover schedules, and First Realty Management standards.

  • Assumes on-call responsibilities for lost keys and emergencies such as plumbing problems, electrical, etc., shared with others where applicable.

  • Responds to emergency + routine service work orders in a professional and timely manner.

  • Maintains the appearance of the site by collecting and discarding refuse from common areas and throughout the site daily.

  • Performs snow removal by shoveling, salt/sanding, and operating and maintaining appropriate equipment.

  • Performs preventative maintenance schedule per site requirements.

  • Participates in annual apartment inspections as assigned.

Additional Job Functions:

  • Responds to changes in organization and property by assuming additional responsibilities as needed, such as going to other sites, in accordance with the union contract Section 9.6 and posting provisions.

  • Works overtime as required.

  • Maintains a clean and well-groomed appearance and wears company-issued uniforms.

  • Is courteous to residents at all times.
