Overview

We are looking for a highly strategic sales leader to join our team as a Service Line Sales Manager. You will lead, build, and manage an established team of Service Line Specialists (SLSs) focused on selling our cloud, infrastructure, and security solutions to our clients and new logo prospects. Reporting to the Service Line Sales Leader, you will collaborate with other senior Cognizant leaders to deliver sales and revenue goals and ensure proper account coverage for key accounts globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop geography, vertical, and account sales plans to ensure sales and revenue goals achieved
  • Manage team of SLS and mentor them to achieve the revenue and order book targets for the SBU
  • Forge relationships with VP/CXO decision makers across IT and business teams
  • Map client organization, build outstanding relationships with new business units, and build sales strategies for developing new business opportunities
  • Build and lead a team of Service Line Specialists to execute the sales plans
  • Ensure that each sales team is consistently applying the Cognizant Way to Sell (CWTS) and Client Value Framework (CVF) to shape, qualify, propose, and close sales opportunities
  • Ensure that all sales opportunities support Cognizant's strategic business objectives, and are accurately recorded and maintained to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue forecasts
  • Manage and resolve any internal issues or escalation requests of the pursuit teams or Sales Managers to increase sales productivity
  • Work with Client facing teams such as Client Partners / AMs to develop new market entry strategies based on analysis of business trends.
  • Work with finance teams and vertical leaders to put together bid P&L Come up with innovative financial structuring of deals based on market / deal needs.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years professional sales management experience leading teams in information technology sales (IT Outsourcing) including 3+ years of digital services to both new logo prospects and existing customers
  • 5+ years of experience in the targeted industry vertical
  • Familiarity with cloud, infrastructure, and security technologies and services to engage with the customer, understanding their strategic objectives and both short and long-term business requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, mentor and retain extraordinary sales talent and teach what is expected with clients
  • Successful track record of achieving sales targets, growing revenue backlog, and growing market share in the CIS technology services industry
  • Ability to qualify deals based on strategic company objectives, client business requirements and Cognizant's service offerings
  • Solid understanding of the IT Outsourcing space and competitive landscape
  • Experience building, managing, and measuring a virtual/geographically dispersed sales organization
  • Strong executive presence, presentation, and public speaking skills
  • Strong business and financial skill to structure large-scale complex deals
  • Expert negotiation skills
  • Bachelor's degree
Preferred Experience
  • MS or MBA degree
  • Strong background in a project environment and application development
  • Proven ability to contribute to new business development efforts and to lead and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Must be detail oriented and able to lead and maintain all facets of complex assignments
  • Demonstrable problem-solving abilities with the aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications
  • Demonstrate the flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries, and technical and non-technical audiences

Benefits

The annual salary for this position is between $195,000 -$225,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
