Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop. Full Time Maintenance Technician/Handyman Must be at least 18 years or older Estimated pay range is $22-$25 based on qualifications and experience. Job Summary: This is an entry-level position, where the team member will learn how to complete tasks independently and grow into a valuable member of the team. Working with whatever materials necessary to make repairs and complete installations as capable and as necessary. Cleaning and maintenance of the shop and refrigerated cases. Assisting with other aspects of the department and or building as the Facilitator Manager sees fit. Key Responsibilities: + Entry level position; + Making repairs for equipment + Shop maintenance and assisting the Facilities Manager with any building related tasks as necessary + Case cleaning and maintenance as necessary + Perform preventive maintenances on equipment ex: greasing, cleaning, changing v-belts. + Assisting the other disciplines of the department with their assigned work orders or PM’s. + Basic Carpentry projects, painting + Subject to being On-Call and willing to work Overtime, Overnights and occasional weekends + Proficiency in using Excel, Word, Microsoft office. Education and Experience (include knowledge, skills and abilities): + Vocational/trade school degree or 1-3 experience + Mechanical ability + Some knowledge of trades Electrical , HVAC , Equipment repair + Familiarity with operation of power tools, shop tools. + Ability to acquire OSHA 10 Certification + Must have a Driver License Personal Characteristics: + Excellent work ethic + Excellent interpersonal skill + Honest + The ability to problem solve + Firm, but fair + Flexible Working Conditions: + The position requires frequent walking and standing and occasional exposure to weather Why you’ll love working here!
