The AIS Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting and resolving more complex issues within the Financial product suite for Arvests ERP core and other accounting information systems. This position is responsible for collaborating with business partners to define requirements and determine solutions that improve the quality of services for the supported business processes delivered by the ERP or other accounting information applications. The AIS Senior Analyst will serve as a bridge between the division, product suite, and end users by analyzing, transforming, and resolving business problems with innovative solutions. This includes leading components of projects or projects of limited scope to the achievement of business process improvement efforts with the goal of improving accuracy, usefulness of data, automation, and efficiency with satisfactory end user experience of the system. The AIS Senior Analyst will assist in the development of project plans including participation on project teams and must be able to effectively communicate to various levels of end users including professional presentations to stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Use accounting system tools and techniques to develop best-practice solutions that align data, business needs, and technology across Accounting, Asset Management, Payroll, Procurement, and other functional areas. Influence and collaborate with other technical resources to drive cross functional releases.

Consult with business leaders, subject matter experts, and IT to support improved business processing by leveraging platform capabilities and develop solution designs around business needs incorporating configuration solutions while minimizing custom development. Work to build relationships with other IT functional areas to drive value-added solutions.

Design solutions to meet user needs in terms of functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability. Conduct and complete fit/gap analysis. Write and maintain functional specifications for new and modified functions.

Develop and document test cases with users on new enhancements to the system that follow an Agile methodology using iterations. Create test plans and coordinate timely and thorough end-user testing on new system developments or business enhancements within the accounting systems.

Participate on project teams to help define strategy, goals, and requirements to support continuous improvement initiatives. This includes representing the financial product suite as a proficient subject matter expert. May oversee smaller projects and/or assist the AIS Analyst with leading the execution of complex project plans ensuring that deliverables are completed timely and remain within scope. Manage\ components of project and/or projects of limited scope, under close guidance and support from more experienced team members. Oversee testing, implementation activities, post-implementation support, and the development of training materials to include power user and admin training. Support consultants/contractor engagements as needed for project work.

Participate in process automation initiatives by working with business owners and Information Technology to develop efficient workflows for process improvement initiatives to ensure timely and high-quality information flows smoothly to all levels within the system utilizing the Infor Process Automation tool. Schedule workshops and develop requirements with workflow diagrams. Design and document detailed system solutions, analyzing and documenting technical requirements using various techniques such as data flows and data requirements.

Develop and implement new security components that ensure appropriate contro s by analyzing the functional business purpose to determine controlled access requirements, configuring settings, and coordinating user testing.

Provide second level end-user support by troubleshooting complex or escalated issues or requests from the junior staff. Diagnose problems using tools and techniques from multiple angles and investigate underlying issues to ensure all solutions are vetted. Effectively communicate status updates regarding emerging issues to business users and members of AIS support team in an effective and timely manner. Provide system training as needed.

Lead the rollout of changes to the production environment and setting of new standards using change controls, documentation, and full communication with the business and other impacted areas. Create system documentation for power users after the development and implementation of new processes. Coordinate maintenance updates with AIS Analyst(s) including the maintenance of existing documentation. Lead post-implementation review of projects and applications to ensure their effectiveness and reliability to the business. This includes change management documentation and control documents for audit requests.
