SMX is seeking an Assistant FSO to assist and serve our employees, guests, and clients within the Fayetteville facility. Assist a team of Security Specialists and Facility Security Officers with other tasking that may be required. This position requires on site attendance in Fayetteville.

Responsibilities:

  • Sustain a centralized ticketing system to monitor and respond to client requests and services.

  • Assist the FSO in overseeing daily security operations, Intelligence Community Directive (ICDs) and 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) compliance for a secured facility.

  • Assist with maintaining security program compliance to include managing NISS facility profile, submitting changed conditions packages, FCL Sponsorship packages, and responding to FCL packages.

  • Maintain a relationship with multiple DoD Agency Representative(s), DCSA Representative(s), prime contractor and subcontractor FSO's.

  • Assist the FSO in interpreting, generating, and monitoring contractual DD254s.

  • Conduct in-processing of new employees to include execution of SF 312 Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA); Program Access Requests (PARs); and other customer vetting processes as required.

  • Initiate personnel clearances and process visit access requests (VARs) in Defense Information System for Security (DISS) as well as all other applicable access documentation as needed.

  • Implement processes and procedures for tracking and conducting foreign travel briefings and debriefings.

  • Assist with sustaining an efficient program for document inventory and control.

  • Work with intrusion detection and access control systems in accordance with DoD and UL 2050 standards including badges, access cards, surveillance systems (CCTV), alarm response, perimeter security, visitor control and secure space(s).

  • Assist with maintaining and implementing emergency response plans and procedures to address security threats, natural disasters, or other emergencies.

  • Assist in identifying security risks and vulnerabilities through regular assessments and take proactive measures to mitigate those risks.

  • Assist with investigating, documenting, and report security incidents.

  • Conduct security briefings and debriefings to employees on security policies and procedures.

Specific Duties to this position:

  • Security New Hire Onboarding

  • Assist with COMSEC material control.

  • Assistance with clearance and associated tasking utilizing DISS, NBIS, SWFT, NISS, NCAIS

  • Perform monthly reporting both internal to Security and for external departments as needed.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

  • Associate’s degree with 2 years of related experience or five years of experience in lieu of degree.

  • Familiar with 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM

  • Experience with NISS, DISS, SWFT, ACCS, NBIS, Access Commander, or other government applications.

  • Strong organizational skills and experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • Professional demeanor, possesses strong interpersonal skills, communicates effectively both in writing and verbally, and excels in a multitasking, dynamic environment.

  • A strong sense of personal motivation and initiative to continuously acquire new skills and seamlessly adapt to a dynamic security landscape.

  • Familiar with secure facility management.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Completion of the CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities IS030.CU Course a plus.

  • Knowledge of DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM) a plus

  • Knowledge of Closed Area Standards and Intelligence Community Directive 705 a plus

  • Knowledge of the NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-57 and the NIST SP 800-171 a plus

  • Knowledge of DoD Manuals 5200.01 volumes 1-4, 5205.07, ICD 705 a plus
