The University of Findlay ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT FOR ADVANCEMENT in Findlay, Ohio

The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu{rel="nofollow"}) is seeking a full-time Assistant Vice President for Advancement, responsible for working under the leadership of the vice president for university advancement.  The assistant vice president for development will have operational responsibility for the University's fund-raising activities including involvement in campaign processes. 

Responsibilities include the management and evaluation of fund-raising staff, the development of effective strategies to secure major gifts and unrestricted (annual) gifts from private sources, corporations, and foundations, the identification and recruitment of volunteer campaign leaders, collaboration with the public information staff to design a marketing and outreach strategy, and a close, collaborative working relationship with the academic deans and their advisory boards. 

A bachelor's degree is required, an advanced degree is preferred, with five years of professional experience, preferably in academic fundraising, corporate fundraising, or related sales or equivalent position. Significant professional experience within a corporate environment is required.

A valid US Drivers' license with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel 8-10 days a month.  Some evening and weekend work, and some overnight travel are expectations of this position.
