Job Summary
The CIT Desktop and Equipment Support Specialist is a hybrid position to support systems administration as well as equipment and laboratories for the Engineering & Technology Division. This position will report to the Associate Director of Laboratory Science Operations and Development.

Responsibilities*
Fulfill New Equipment Needs
Work with vendors to specify computer and other equipment configuration quotes.
Software Lifecycle Management
Perform software upgrades or patching as needed in line with course curriculum changes.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls on systems. Work with end users to address system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems.
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Collaborating with other IT staff and departments to ensure operation of systems and services.
Participate in special events and assist with the setup of spaces.
Help with development of novel parts/components for research and/or upper-division courses
