Under general supervision, the Regional Groundskeeper performs a variety of grounds related tasks to maintain the landscape and beauty of University property as assigned.

Responsibilities*
Perform daily and weekly grounds maintenance, including mowing, string trimming, edging sidewalks, picking up litter, and emptying garbage cans.
Remove snow and ice from walks, drives, parking lots, steps, ramps, parking structures, and building entrances utilizing snow plow trucks, power brooms, power
blades, truck mounted salting equipment, and hand shovels using road salt, ice melters, and deicers.
Install and repair irrigation systems, including valves, sprinkler heads, low-voltage electrical components, and controllers.
Operate and program irrigation systems using automated computer programs.
Maintain irrigation system pits and housing areas, including pressurizing and winterizing.
Diagnose turf, plant and tree diseases and pest problems and determine appropriate course of actions, including interior and exterior pesticide applications, fertilizations, or
other techniques.
