Aerotek Facilities Maintenance Technician in Florence, South Carolina

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Pay: 26-28 hr

Job Description:

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the completion of work orders related to the physical maintenance and repairs of assigned buildings using work order related software programs. You will respond to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocols and assist in establishing and maintaining equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories, and logs. Additionally, you will help implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs. Your role also includes controlling expenses associated with the operation of the buildings and acting professionally and courteously with tenants, hospital clients, co-workers, vendors, and patients.

Required Skills:

  • Plumbing – changing out fixtures, toilets, faucets, sinks, snake out clogged sink or toilet line

  • Electrical – capabilities of changing receptacles light switches, troubleshooting, basic electrical, reset breakers, change out light bulbs

  • Electrical wiring and installation (outlets, furniture, fans)

  • Painting

  • Carpentry and flooring

  • Plumbing for sinks, restrooms, kitchens

  • Minor appliance repair

Work Site:

This is a fully on-site position in Florence, South Carolina.

Work Environment:

You will be collaborating with one other Maintenance Technician in the Florence area, alongside administrative and project management support on site. The work environment is both indoor and outdoor, primarily indoors, but tasks may require going up on the roof, exposing you to the elements. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional overtime. An on-call rotation includes weekends, alternating two weeks on and two weeks off.
