Job Title: 2nd Shift Welder

Job Description

We are a family-owned custom weld shop specializing in large structural work, with occasional one-off parts for local clients. In this role, you will work independently on a variety of projects, utilizing blueprints and weld symbols. The primary focus will be on MIG and Flux welding of steel, with material thicknesses ranging from 1/4" to several inches.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and Flux welding on steel materials, with potential for TIG work.

• Work independently on various projects, utilizing blueprints and weld symbols.

• Handle materials of varying thicknesses, primarily steel.

• Ensure high-quality welds and adhere to project specifications.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of custom welding experience utilizing MIG and Flux welding.

• Proficiency in reading blueprints and weld symbols.

• Ability to grind and fit materials as required.

Work Environment

Work in a family-owned custom job shop with three locations in Fond du Lac. The environment includes a custom shop, structural weld shop, and a small powder coat paint shop. The shop is older and relatively dirty, with a mix of traditional 'old school' personalities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00
