Mustad USA 1st Shift Machine Operator/ Packer in Forest Lake, Minnesota
$2,000.00 Bonus = $1,000 after 90 days and $1,000 after 1 year

Position Overview
The Operator/Line worker is responsible for the operation of robotic lines for the purpose of manufacturing the highest-quality horseshoes in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Essential Job Functions ( required duties and responsibilities)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Operates production line equipment properly, following all safety and SOP regulations and procedures, including Mustad Performance Systems (MPS)
Is responsible for monitoring and adjusting the line in regard to heat, speed, quality specifications, and cleanliness, including disposal of production debris
Is responsible for steel changes, die changes, or other component changes, making them in least disruptive manner
ensures the production of quality products by regularly inspecting horseshoes for adherence to quality, appearance, and usage requirements according to internal protocols
Maintains documentation, including written records and ERP functions, as required or requested
Provides other support as requested and needed

The Packer is responsible for packaging and preparing horseshoes for shipment to customers. Demonstrates

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Locates horseshoes to be packaged and ensures their placement on the packing line, following all safety
and SOP regulations and procedures, including Mustad Performance Systems (MPS)
• Ensures only horseshoes meeting quality specifications are packed
• Performs necessary paperwork, including label preparation
• Ensures completion of packing process by emptying conveyor of boxed product to pallets and/or onto
the case erector
• Ensures case erector and labeler have tape and label replacements as needed
• Assists on packing line where needed to ensure quality and quantity of product, including (but not limited to)
limited to) re-packing of horseshoes, hand grinding of horseshoes and assisting with clip packaging
• Maintains documentation, including written records and ERP functions, as required or requested
• Provides other support to management as requested and needed
Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements
Ability to read, write and speak English at a basic level
Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot for process improvement
Mechanical aptitude
Basic computer skills
Desirable Skills and Attributes ( preferred but not required)
HS diploma or GED
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with machine operation
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Use of hands to repeatedly grasp and perform fine manipulation
Bending, crawling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, sometimes above shoulder level.
Visual acuity and depth perception
Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs
pushing or pulling up to 145 lbs
Work Environment
Factory setting
Exposure to heat, humidity, dust fumes, gases, toxic/caustic chemicals, and airborne particles
Exposure to significantly loud noise
Exposure to moving mechanical parts on line as well as moving equipment throughout the factory
Mandatory use of Personal Protective equipment (PPE), which the company provides
