JONES DAIRY FARM Regulatory Affairs Supervisor in FORT ATKINSON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Manufacturer of Premium Meat Products in Fort Atkinson Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for 135 years, is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that can demonstrate organization, a high level of accuracy, and attention to detail. Position Summary: This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the USDA-FSIS and other government agencies and 3rd party regulatory programs, Allergen, Product Shelf Life, Labeling, Nutritional, Multi-Component Ingredient, and other assigned programs. Serves as HACCP team member. Provides timely information to internal departments including Customer Service, Consumer Affairs, Purchasing, and Product Development. Participates in cross-functional teams for recall drills, HACCP, SQF, and SPS. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends. Responsibilities: An essential job duty of this position is regularly reporting to work on time and being able to perform the essential duties of the position. Maintain a thorough and updated knowledge of all inspection regulations including inspection, labeling, export, and nutritional rules. Supervise, and assist with the professional development of RA hourly staff to provide accurate and timely execution of HACCP, SSOP, SPS/Pre-Requisite Programs, shelf life, label approvals, and assigned special projects. Manage HACCP program, training program development, validation, and verification requirements to ensure programs meet FSIS regulations, directives, and guidelines. Liaison with FSIS officers, third-party consultants, and internal contacts to ensure all food regulatory issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner. Provide RAPA technical support with specific oversight for label approvals, research technical questions, and share best practices for HACCP, SSOP, Pre-requisite, and SPS programs in an accurate and timely manner. Manage shelf life, allergen, and nutritional database programs per established protocols including auditing and training as required. Participation or leadership of the Recall drill team. Manage technical issues in label development and approval processes working with internal Marketing, Sales Representatives, and Purchasing. Serve as backup for QA managerial duties. Minimal overnight travel. Accept special projects and complete them promptly. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Food Science or related field. 5 years of experience in meat or related food industry or equivalent experience. Prior supervisory experience. Excellent written and oral skills. Knowledge of USDA-FSIS regulations and operations. Licenses/Certificates: HACCP Technology/Equipment: Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Ability to learn additional software programs. Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience or Training: USDA-FSIS labeling Licenses/Certificates: SQF Practitioner ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Food Science or related field. 5 years of experience in meat or related food industry or equivalent experience.
