Lockheed Martin Aircraft Mechanic / Aircraft Technical Inspector / H-47 in Fort Campbell North, Kentucky
Description: This position shall apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blue prints and manufacturer’s manuals.
Job requirements: must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair, must have basic knowledge of electrical theory, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.
This job requires working knowledge of technical publications.
The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
Inspect all aircraft work performed by LMR Personnel to ensure/verify completion per required standards
Verify all Safety of Flight discrepancies are compliant
Ensure accuracy of aircraft historical records
Update aircraft historical records as necessary
Provide oversight of aircraft Weight & Balance Program
Ensures maintenance tasks are performed to the highest standard of
excellence
Provide guidance to lower level technicians

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum five (5) years experience in aircraft maintenance
Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems/components
Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft forms and records
Must have the ability to research, read, and interpret drawings, technical manuals, and directives
Must the ability to write with clarity and technical accuracy
Experienced in performing quality inspections
Performs with excellence
Must be motivated and have a personal desire to develop greater knowledge of their technical specialty
Vigilant, Observant, Alert and have an inquiring nature
Must be able to work in a team environment
Must be willing to flex daily work schedule based on customer needs
Desired Skills:
CH/MH-47 Helicopter experience
Previous Quality Control experience
Knowledge of Aircraft Notebook system
Knowledge of aircraft weight and balance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Rotating 40 hour week as assigned by leader
