JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting the safe and efficient organization and operation of the Administrative departments of The Armstrong Hotel. To support and oversee the administrative hotel operations in accordance with standards and guidelines established by The Yarrow Group.

JOB DUTIES

  • Responsible for supporting the administrative activities for the entire hotel operation.

  • Responsible for the processing of AP, helping with departmental procurement and updating checkbooks.

  • Supports the F&B team with vendor relations, purchasing and programming.

  • Supports the management team with payroll processing.

  • Supports and manages the HR functions within the hotel.

  • Onboarding, offboarding, policy signatures, tracking

  • Manages uniforms for all employees.

  • Enforces Armstrong and The Yarrow Group standards, policies, and procedures with staff.

  • Develops training programs to ensure effective results.

  • Develops SOP’s and P&P’s for hotel operations.

  • Supports and ensures compliance with guest service standards.

  • Develops a positive rapport with all stakeholders.

  • Initiates and maintains effective communication within department, and between all other departments and staff at property.

  • Provides feedback to management and owners on specific needs.

  • Provides quality control and care of supplies and equipment.

  • Attends weekly departmental meeting, as necessary.

  • Is aligned with the culture, values, goals, and human resource programs of and The Yarrow Group.

  • Always maintains a professional appearance and attitude.

  • Watch for safety hazards and rectify effectively.

  • Develop and share documentation resources including but not limited to: Inspection record, QA Audits, training, and standards.

  • Give full support and assistance to property.

  • Research new industries trends and innovative products and suggest implementation.

  • Participate in all projects, programs, and assignments to ensure that administrative office guidelines and procedures are being followed.

  • Assist management with VIP guests. Act as an ambassador for and The Yarrow Group.

    RESPONSIBILTY

  • Educate all staff on health and safety procedures and policies.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Has thorough knowledge and understanding of Hotel Administrative Operations.

  2. Excellent track record of detail oriented work

  3. Proven track record working with information technology systems.

  4. Working knowledge of equipment and procedures involved in hotel operations.

  5. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal. Will be interfacing with guests and owners to provide efficient and effective results.

  6. Maintains a close working relationship with team members and department heads from all areas of hotel operations.

  7. One must be flexible to work long hours to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.

  8. This position requires the ability to communicate and make sound judgment calls when evaluating problems and situations to expedite the resolution. Additionally, it is necessary to take a proactive role and lead by example.
