U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Operations Officer in Fort Eisenhower, Georgia

Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Eisenhower, Georgia. Responsibilities Coordinates various efforts on behalf of the Deputy Director in responding to taskings/inquiries from Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), TRADOC, CCoE), IMCOM), TRADOC and other activities. Conducts or participates in conferences relative to proposed actions that impact the mission and operations. Identifies developmental and training needs of employees, provides and/or arranges for needed training. Directs the daily operations of the transformation cell staff through technical employees. Develops the performance plans and rates the performance of subordinate employees. Ensures that employee job performance standards are consistent with organizational goals and that standards are fair, measurable and accurately evaluated. Monitors requirements and available resources to ensure the proper balance between annual planning and execution of resources. Evaluates, interprets, analyzes and presents in final form all data relating to assigned area of responsibility in support of the study. Performs long-term trade-off analyses and recommends appropriate allocation of resources to achieve the strategic plan. Conducts necessary coordination in order to resolve inconsistencies or meet overall command objectives. Coordinates internal reviews and enforce internal controls for the command This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe One year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1. Participates in multi-functional tasks and oversees the accomplishment of long-term transitions and implementation plans for strategic planning efforts. 2. Monitors requirements and available resources to ensure the proper balance between annual planning and execution of resources necessary for continuity of operations. 3. Exercises the full range of delegated personnel management responsibilities of a first-line supervisor for the command (i.e. develops performance plans, rates performance of subordinates, fill vacant positions, conducts hiring panel, approves bonuses, handles warnings and reprimands, resolves problems, and plans trainings that are needed). 4. Represents the director in meetings, conferences and special working group 5. Formulates plans, directives and strategies in collaboration with multiple stakeholders for management, actions and related operations necessary to keep the campus transformation mega program on schedule, on budget and compliant with all applicable standards.
