Summary About the Position: Fort Gregg-Adams, Home of Logistic Warriors, is a US Army installation located near the Tri-Cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, and Hopewell, VA. Fort Gregg-Adams is south of Richmond, the Capital of Virginia. There are a number of important missions accomplished by the activities located here. The missions accomplished at Fort Gregg-Adams include combat and training development and the professional development of military personnel through various training programs. Responsibilities Serves as Senior Specialist responsible for the integration and preparation of functional and technical design for tactical sustainment information systems. Maintains communications (to include detailed briefings) with executive level DA logistical personnel and provides technical and functional guidance to CONUS and OCONUS commands. Provides guidance and advice and/or renders decisions on specific problems brought to attention by branch members. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: :One year of specialized experience that includes: 1) possessing in-depth knowledge of logistics software such as in developing Automated Information Systems (AIS) requirements; 2) working on special projects that may have a significant impact on the future direction of sustainment information systems, 3) preparing, reviews, and updates capability development documentation for multifunctional automated logistics information systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes Information Oral Communication Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
