U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Supervisory Management Analyst in Fort Sam Houston, Texas

Summary About the Position: Serves as the Chief, Manpower and Management Branch, Assistant Chief of Staff for Resource Management (ACSRM)/G-8 with comprehensive responsibility to plan, organize and direct the overall Manpower/Force Management Program and Management Programs for the US Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Responsibilities Reviews and analyzes the Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA), and the preparation and maintenance of manpower management reports. Coordinates external manpower surveys and reviews, analyzes, and forwards or rejects interim manpower requirements submissions. Monitors Manpower Program execution through staff assistance visits to subordinate elements and recommends corrective action as necessary. Performs the full range of personnel management duties to include planning workload and establishing priorities. Develops performance plans and appraises performance. Specialized Experienced: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves experience such as; Exercising supervisory and managerial authority by planning and preparing schedules and work to be accomplished by subordinates due to changing workloads, organization structure, authorization ceilings and new or revised missions; applying knowledge of Army rank structure, formations and officer and enlisted classification to required documents; assisting with personnel actions and resolving problems of employee relations; setting and adjusting short-term priorities such as preparing and submits manpower schedules for budget input and out-of -cycle reprogramming; reviewing and analyzing Army manpower staffing requirements levels of medical and non-medical units throughout the organization updating and analyzing the Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) through the Army's force management system of record; providing administrative and policy direction of overall project priorities and objectives; analyzing medical and non-medical unit operations and missions and making recommendations on proposed functional and organizational changes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Managing Human Resources Planning and Evaluating Research Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-12.
