Lockheed Martin Aircraft Mechanic F-35 Crew Chief - Level 4 in Fort Smith, Arkansas

What You Will Be Doing:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Aircraft Mechanic Crew Chief to join our dynamic team, focusing on the F-35 aircraft. This pivotal role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including the maintenance, repair, launch, and recovery of the aircraft to ensure optimal mechanical integrity and flight safety. You will engage in meticulous maintenance practices, inspections, and servicing in alignment with Joint Technical Data (JTD) standards, alongside managing both Field-Level Modifications and Time Compliance Technical Data (TCTD) maintenance tasks. Beyond this, you may also:

• Implement comprehensive maintenance and repair activities on F-35 aircraft, ensuring operational readiness and safety.

• Adhere to strict guidelines as per Joint Technical Data (JTD) and relevant program and service directives.

• Collaborate on and/or lead Field-Level Modifications and TCTD initiatives, enhancing aircraft performance and safety.

• Distribute tasks effectively among maintenance team members, fostering a productive work environment.

• Deliver On-The-Job training to team members and international partner maintenance personnel, sharing valuable insights and practices.

• Maintain precise aircraft records and status updates using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) within the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).

• Provide timely updates to Production staff regarding aircraft availability and status.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by the Aircraft Supervisor and Associate Aircraft Maintenance Manager.

The position will require working first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shift(s). Candidates should expect to depart on temporary duty assignments with short notice, dependent on customer or LM ICS needs to include stateside or overseas. This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations.

Position may also require extended work hours.

Candidate must be able to acquire and maintain a flight line driver's competency card.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires minimum of 4 years hands-on working experience in 5 or 7-skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR Navy NEC, or CDI/CDQAR United States Marine Corps, or equivalent on Fighter Attack Aircraft.

Should have 6 months of hands-on F-35 maintenance experience to include working experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to include, Anomaly Fault Resolution System, Customer Relationship Management, Joint Technical Data Navigation, Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI) activities, Configuration Management and forms documentation and supply chain management activities.

Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs

Desired Skills:

An FAA aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic license is desirable.

Experience as an On-The-Job trainer.

Proficiency with LM’s F-35 Nose-to-Tail maintenance concept

Engine Run Certification, fighter aircraft crew escape systems (i.e. canopy and ejection seat), experience in fighter weapons loading and experience in structural repairs and low observable system maintenance are highly desirable

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
