TexasBank Credit Analyst Manager in Fort Worth, Texas

SUMMARY: The Credit Analyst Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and soundness of the banks loan portfolio. This position will take leadership over credit underwriting and analyst within the bank's loan origination and portfolio management functions. This role will work collaboratively with the lending staff to assess and manage risk. Additionally, this position is responsible for the oversight of a team of credit analysts.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee a team of Credit Analysts, including responsibilities for hiring, coaching, performance evaluation, and training. Manage overall workload and workflow, conduct comprehensive reviews of work products, and ensure underwriting accuracy and consistency.
  • Lead and collaborate with Credit Analysts to meet departmental goals and objectives, setting performance targets and providing constructive feedback in a professional manner.
  • Support the underwriting process for complex credit cases and serve as a backup for analyst staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and refine initiatives, processes, and procedures to enhance credit quality, credit monitoring, and departmental efficiency, including evaluating and implementing new technologies or outsourced solutions.
  • Partner with lenders to monitor and ensure adherence to deadlines, offering assistance as required.
  • Supervise the appraisal workflow, including initiating orders, tracking progress, and performing internal and external reviews.
  • Assist in efficiently monitoring and resolving exceptions.
  • Compile and produce periodic reports and aid in preparing internal assessments.
  • Record minutes for special meetings and contribute to special projects as assigned.
  • Stay informed about current economic conditions and regulatory developments.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Consistent and timely attendance is required to ensure uninterrupted operational efficiency and exemplary service delivery.
  • In office role, primarily in the Fort Worth Branch.
  • May require travel to other branch locations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Walk, stand, bend, squat, twist, and reach.
  • Simple grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Extended keyboarding.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.

At least seven years of experience in credit analysis and underwriting, with a strong understanding of credit risk assessment, loan structuring, and financial analysis.

Proven experience in supervising and managing teams, including hiring, coaching, performance evaluation, and providing training. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively and achieve departmental goals.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for documentation management.

Experience in credit administration, loan risk management, or a related field within the banking sector.

Strong knowledge of banking regulations and lending best practices.
