BAE Systems Lead Systems Integration Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas

Job Description

  • Manage the US based, BAE Systems Weapons Integration Team.

  • Function as the primary point of contact for the integration of the SPEAR3, Meteor, Paveway IV, and ASRAAM weapons for the UK F-35B aircraft.

  • Responsible for the technical coordination of the design, integration, testing, and certification of the UK weapons capabilities.

  • Support the generation and update of integration program plans for UK weapons integrations by the Lockheed Martin Program Management Office.

  • Oversee technical aspects of supplier management for Raytheon Missile Systems and Raytheon Systems Ltd, and MBDA.

  • Integrate with the Lockheed Martin Weapons Certification team and deliver the certification of the UK weapons capabilities.

  • Assist with Classified and Official Sensitive data transfer and communications between the US and UK.

  • Manage security of UK test assets and information located on the Lockheed Martin facility in Fort Worth.

  • Other duties as assigned within area of responsibility.

  • Perform as Subject Matter Expert in the field of Weapons Integration and Certification including delivery of training and mentorship to the business and customers.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related engineering field and 5 years of experience with weapon systems design, development, integration and/or testing. A degree earned through either a 3 or 4 year program will be acceptable.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 5 years of experience with weapon system integration in support of subsystem requirement definition, development, integration, and testing

  • 5 years of experience performing requirements development and verification methods, including review of requirement documents, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), test and evaluation, and airworthiness certification of the weapon development

  • 5 years of experience leading technical discussions for system integration platforms, subsystems, or line replacement units during project planning, review sessions, and informal interactions with the client or outside agencies

  • 5 years of experience providing inputs and recommendations for programmatic, engineering, and test briefings, including planning efforts, execution, documentation activities, and reviews

  • Must demonstrate experience delivering at least one complete airborne weapons capability to government customers.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of international standards and requirements pertaining to certification of military aircraft and weapons.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of MIL-STD-516 airworthiness certification criteria, MIL-STD-1553 multiplex data buses, Universal Armaments Interface, and MIL-STD-1760 aircraft/stores electrical interconnection systems.

  • Possess or immediately eligible to obtain U.S. or U.K. security clearance (Secret)

SALARY:

The wage range for this particular position is $166,005 to $195,700/year. The overall wage range noted below should not be considered when applying for this position.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $115100 - $195700

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
