Job Title: Lab Tech

Location: Framingham, MA

Type: 6 Month contract with possible extension

Schedule: Friday - Monday 12PM-10:30PM

Start: Immediate

Summary:

The main function of a lab technologist is to perform complex laboratory tests. A typical lab technologist usually reports to a biochemist or microbiologist.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results.

• Follows prescribed procedures, performing any tests within any of the laboratory specialties and calculating results of the tests performed if necessary.

• Recognize and correct basic analyzer malfunctions; notifying management personnel when appropriate

• Prepare reagents or media from a prescribed procedure

• Conduct established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products

• Enter data from analysis of tests and results into computer for storage

  Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in life sciences or related field preferred.

• 0-2 years experience required.

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.

• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.

• Basic knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (international quality standard for human clinical trials) and local regulations

• Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.
