Division Description:

ITW Deltar Fasteners serves all the major OEMs and their tier suppliers with plastic fasteners totaling approximately $260M in revenues. Units include: Frankfort, IL; Chippewa Falls, WI and our Commercial Sales and Engineering in Troy, MI.

The Business Unit Coordinator – Deltar Fasteners will report to the Customer Relations Manager – Deltar Fasteners and will be responsible for performing duties relating to coordination of prototype and production tooling, engineering change requests and customer packaging requirements.

  • Under general supervision, manage multiple projects, tasks associated to new business projects, engineering change requests and customer specific requirements.

  • Work with a core team to manage APQP for new part design review meetings.

  • Generate part quotations, capacity forecasts, cost breakdowns, support with capex details by collaborating with colleagues and Commercial/Sales team.

  • Maintain multiple projects relevant to Engineering, Tooling, Customer Service and Manufacturing teams from project initiating through completion phases.

  • Develop Gantt charts, bank builds, build ahead inventory, and PPAP milestones reports.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing pre-production vehicle builds and customer shipments.

  • Report on current inventory and utilization pertaining to engineering change requests.

  • Maintain OEM/Tier customer’s portals, including completion of capacity forms, packaging data sheets and surveys.

  • Supporting internal packaging requirements and systems.

  • Process packaging expenses, claims and fleet calculations for container purchases.

  • Collaborate with internal departments and Commercial Sales team to meet timelines.

  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

  • Associate degree in Business or related field and/or 2+ years of work-related experience preferably in Sales or Customers Relations (Manufacturing environment preferred)

  • Position requires a professional, enthusiastic, detailed oriented individual with proven organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint

  • Self-motivated, ability to multitask, and high level of professionalism.

  • Ability to learn new skills and the desire for upward mobility and professional growth.

  • Ability to strategically troubleshoot, high-level analytical skills, demonstrate initiative and make independent decisions with minimal direction.

  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple workload/manage multiple tasks without close supervision, minimal direction, adapt to change and consistently meet deadlines.

  • Proven accuracy in work.
