Aerotek Machine Operator in Frankfort, Illinois
A 2nd generation family-owned steel service center located in Frankfort is seeking a slitter operator for 1st shift.
There are endless amounts of opportunity to work your way up the pay scale into higher level positions
Description:
Candidate will be assisting the slitter operator and working directly with them
Performing quality checks of materials using precision measurement tools including: micrometers, calipers, tape measures, Rockwell gauges and depth mics
Banding and taping steel on a re-coiler
Loading and unloading coils from the turn car
Communicating with the slitter operator any defects of materials
Will be responsible for general housekeeping of the work area
Performing 4-5 set-ups daily
1st shift
6:00-3:00
Monday-Friday
$18 - 20/hour
