job summary:
A Commissioning Specialist is needed for a leading EPC organization. The Commissioning Specialist is responsible for overseeing the commissioning and start-up of an industrial construction project. Tasks include overseeing conformance to contract plans, overseeing work completed by subs that meets specifications, quality, and safety standards, and developing strategies to overcome incongruities that may arise during the start-up phase.
Qualified candidates must have 10+ years' of related heavy industrial construction project commissioning experience within a Chemical Processing or Petrochem or similar environment. Candidates with an anaerobic digester background are coveted, and candidates must have experience with hot commissioning. This is a contract role in Lexington, KY, with prospective travel to sister facilities. This is a contract opportunity, with the potential to go direct-hire with the client. Per Diem is available for qualified candidates.

Supervise all activities to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and achieve all safety objectives
Coordinate and facilitate the activities of multiple project owners, utilities, contractors, permit and regulatory agencies
Monitor and coordinate construction activities, maintain field documentation and records
Provides construction progress reports and projections to leadership
Oversee start-up, troubleshooting, run-off, and final handover
