Veralto Strategic Account Manager - Germany in Frankfurt, Germany

Great career opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager to join a leading global industrial automation technology innovator and drive further sales growth with recognised international FMCG and large manufacturing companies across Germany.

This dynamic role will suit a new-business sales hunter who enjoys consultative sales and partnering with large international customers and colleagues around the world to achieve strategic goals.

The Opportunity

You’ve likely purchased or used products touched by Videojet Technologies this week. From freshness dating to track and trace coding, our solutions help ensure food, beverages, pharmaceutical and other products sold across the world are authentic and safe.

Reporting to the EMEA Commercial Director for Strategic & International Accounts, the jobholder will devise appropriate strategies to grow existing accounts and win new customers. This will entail understanding the voice of the customer, internal & external stakeholder partnering, and undertaking competitor and market analysis.

The Strategic Account Manager will travel 3-4 days a week across Germany to visit with existing & potential FMCG/large manufacturing customers (60-70% new business focus), understand their requirements, propose solutions at all levels (including equipment, finance and service agreements) and ensure the execution of the entire sales cycle to the highest standards.

The Ideal Candidate

  • New business sales-hunting focused Strategic Account Manager, ideally with experience in Multinational Corporations selling into FMCG/manufacturing environments (i.e. food & beverages packaging, automation equipment etc)

  • Excellent communication (fluent German & English), teamworking skills, and strong commercial awareness

  • High self-motivation, analytical, attention to detail, excellent problem solving, planning & organizing skills

  • Used to working in a KPI-focused environment with use of CRM (SFDC etc)

  • Flexible to travel widely across Germany and be away from home overnight 4-5 times a month on average (as per business requirements)
