DFT Communications Facilities Maintenance in Fredonia, New York
FT: Facilities Maintenance, Fredonia Facilities Maintenance The Facilities Maintenance person is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g., carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing etc.) Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Paint, remodel, and refurbish areas as needed
Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities
Perform routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, or wall repair.
Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
Clean windows and glass doors
Maintain the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly. Change of all filters for HVAC as required.
Maintain exterior property, yard work, raking, mowing, landscaping, and including snow removal.
Daily trash removal, restocking/cleaning restrooms, sweeping/mopping/vacuuming, cleaning/disinfecting tables and counters, cleaning exterior entryways, cleaning/polishing/floor maintenance, cleaning/disinfecting community surfaces (handrails, vending machines, etc.).
Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
Will be responsible for working at all properties owned by DFT and all other properties deemed necessary by management.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience Requirements: High School education or equivalent 5 years of working experiencing in facilities maintenance Have an understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry Familiar with hand-held tools and equipment Ability to work with minimal supervision Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions: Ability to push/lift 50-75 pounds. Ability to climb ladders. Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, crouching as job may require Ability to work in extreme temperatures Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints Must be dependable and on time Must be presentable and project a professional appearance. Corporate apparel will be provided. Must have a valid drivers license
Pay Range - $38,480 to $50,000
