We are seeking a professional like you to be responsible for providing instrument and electrical engineering support to the Freeport Chemical Manufacturing operating areas, as well as providing technical guidance to the I/E/A maintenance group. This is a long-term and strategic-focused position where you will have responsibility to drive maintenance, reliability, asset availability and safety performance, utilizing the most appropriate and effective tools and techniques across the Polyamide (CM) business unit. You will be required to provide technical support for daily maintenance activities and provide design and technical information for maintenance and capital improvements. In addition, you will provide technical support to Root Cause Failure Analyses and troubleshooting of problems, and hold responsibility for maintenance, testing, and documentation of the site’s SIS infrastructure. Finally, you will ensure a culture of continuous improvement.

As a Sr I/E Maintenance Engineer you will demonstrate your solid performance in troubleshooting I/E issues as well as recommending and implementing changes. Although not required, education and/or experience with Distributive Control Systems (DCS) will be advantageous in this

As a Sr I/E Maintenance Engineer, you create chemistry by...

  • Providing technical support to Production, Project Engineering, Turnaround and other Maintenance staff.

  • Applying sound technical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment to lead and participate on Accident/Incident investigations and RCFA teams.

  • Using working knowledge of maintenance activities associated with process equipment to complete action items generated from Audits, PHA’s, Accident/Incident Investigations and MOC’s.

  • Utilizing knowledge of applicable industry codes to create, review and edit procedures related to repairs, mechanical integrity and operation of equipment.

  • Exhibiting keen attention to detail to ensure development of Critical Equipment list and Critical Spares Inventory

If you...

  • Hold a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Possess a minimum of 7+ years of experience in either a chemical/petrochemical or refinery operation.

  • Have proficient technical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment.

  • Have experience providing technical guidance in instrumentation and electrical systems.

  • Have knowledge of applicable industry codes and maintenance best practices.

  • Are familiar working with SAP.
