We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic Lead to carry out various maintenance tasks throughout the manufacturing shop. This includes installing and inspecting machines and electrical equipment, completing preventive maintenance to keep machines operational, and building maintenance to ensure the health and safety of team members. To be a successful maintenance mechanic. candidates should have a practical mind, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail. To excel in this role, a trained maintenance mechanic should be able to ensure that machinery and equipment are in excellent operating condition.

salary: $20 - $25 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 5 AM - 1:30 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department

• Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed

• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner

• Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment

• Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance

• Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals

• Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery

• Cleaning, repairing and installing equipment and parts as needed

• Operating a variety of hand and power tools

• Maintaining a clean and organized work area

• Complying with health and safety regulations

• Performing general maintenance work on buildings as as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1+ years of practical experience building and leading teams

• 2+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role

• Trade or vocational school graduation preferred

• Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools

• Mechanical aptitude and ability

• Computer skills

• Physical dexterity

• Good troubleshooting skills

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
