Actalent Service Engineer in Fresno, California

Description:

advising customers on all mechanical matters by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and servicing repairs. We are looking for a team player who is dependable, professional, and has exceptional customer service skills to join our ever evolving organization. Provides a complete and accurate cost estimate for labor and parts. ● Prepares service repair orders detailing customer concern, time, cost, labor estimates, and customer solutions. ● Advises service technician on locating mechanical problems. ● Creates work orders for Service Technicians detailing all repairs. ● Schedules service appointments. ● Tracks repair progress daily and informs customers of any changes in the estimate or promised time. ● Explains cost and time requirements in detail and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed. ● Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. ● Ensures work orders are closed. ● Helps in implementing a quality control process to eliminate comebacks. ● Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process. • Confers with customers to help diagnose problems and effect repairs. • Provide diagnoses and repair hour estimates for quoting purposes. • Provide training to customer on proper use and safe operation of the equipment. • Helps in implementing and maintaining a service marketing program. • Trainings

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance. • Knowledge of customer service to determine the customer needs, assessment, while meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. • Knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, mechanical engineering schematics and electrical diagrams. • Knowledge of how to diagnose, repair, maintain, and correctly install or replace equipment and machinery. • Knowledge of hydraulic and 12-volt electrical • Familiar with database software, recordkeeping software, and work order management software. • Ability to repair machines or equipment using needed tools. • Ability to troubleshoot the causes of operating errors. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Ability to manage ones own time. • Must be able to make sound judgment and decisions considering the relevant costs and benefits of potential actions. • Must be able to critically think using logic and reason. • Must be able to use Microsoft products, Office, Windows, Outlook, and Microsoft Excel and Word. • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. • Strong management skills. • Must have a valid Driver License and clean driving record.
